New academics from the Universities of Minho and Wroclaw join the Arqus International Forum on Romance Studies (AIFRS). With them, there are now more than 40 professors and researchers participating in this forum, created in 2020 to promote the study and teaching of Romance languages and literature.

Among the activities they have carried out to date, it is remarkable to mention the Arqus International Seminar in Romance Philology (Granada, 2021), the Colloquium on Romance Linguistics (virtual mode) (Graz, 2021), and other courses and conferences that are given face-to-face and virtually in Bergen, Leipzig, Graz and Granada.

The next activities of the AIFRS group are:

  • The Arqus International Summer School: “Romance Languages in the Americas and in Africa” (Graz, 2022, Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program).
  • The Colloquium on Romance Literature (virtual mode) (Graz, 2022).
  • The Arqus International Seminar in Romance Studies: “Contrastive Linguistics and Comparative Literature” (Granada, 2023, Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme).
  • The second edition of the Colloquium on Romance Linguistics (virtual modality) (Leipzig, 2023).
